Frequently asked questions
What is ROYA?
ROYA is a face reading platform for self-discovery. It measures 16 proportions of your face and presents a reflective reading based on the face reading tradition. You can get one reading free, order a PDF report for $20, or book a live session with a specialist for $100.
Is face reading scientifically proven?
No. There is no good scientific evidence that facial features predict personality. Our measurements are real, but the meanings come from a reflective tradition. Please treat your reading as a prompt for self-reflection and entertainment, not as fact.
How accurate are the measurements?
The geometry is precise, but photos vary. We publish our repeatability testing, and we mark any trait that sits close to a boundary as “leaning” rather than presenting it as certain. Taking three photos gives more consistent results than one.
How much does a face reading cost?
Your first reading is free. A full PDF report reviewed by a specialist costs $20. A private online session with a specialist costs $100. Each is a one-time payment, with no subscription.
How quickly will I get my PDF report?
Within 24 hours of completing your scan. A specialist reviews each report before it is delivered, and we email you when it is ready.
Do you store my photo?
Free reading photos are only used to take your measurements, and are never kept. Very large or unusual files pass through private temporary storage and are deleted right after measuring. For a paid report, one cleaned copy is kept privately for the specialist, then deleted automatically within 7 days.
Does AI see my photo?
No. Our AI assistant only receives anonymous trait labels and approved text. It never receives your photo, name or email, and strict rules keep it to explaining your reading.
Can I use ROYA to assess someone else?
No. ROYA is only for reading your own face with your own consent. It must never be used to judge other people, or to make decisions about hiring, lending, housing, insurance or relationships.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can download or permanently delete your data at any time from your account page.
What makes a good photo?
Face the camera straight on at eye level, with even light from the front, a relaxed neutral expression, and hair away from your face. Remove glasses. ROYA checks each photo and tells you exactly what to fix.
