How ROYA measures a face
ROYA finds 478 points on your face, corrects for head position, and calculates 16 scale-free proportions. Each is compared with reference ranges, and traits close to a boundary are marked as leaning rather than certain.
From photo to proportions
A landmark model locates 478 points on your face. ROYA corrects for head tilt and small turns, then calculates ratios, so photo size doesn't affect the result.
Before measuring, each photo is checked for pose, lighting, sharpness and expression. If something's off, you get a specific instruction and your free reading isn't used.
Handling uncertainty
A measurement close to a boundary could reasonably fall on either side. Instead of guessing, ROYA calculates how likely each label is, and shows close calls as “leaning”.
We publish how consistent our labels are across different photos of the same person, including where they fall short.
Where AI fits in
Our AI assistant helps settle close calls, choosing only between the two labels the measurement allows, and weaves approved text into your overview. It never sees your photo.
Its replies are checked automatically. If it invents a label or touches a forbidden topic, such as health or background, the reply is discarded and approved text is used instead.
